Professor Jan Cami is an astronomy instructor at Western University, and the coordinator for the Hume Cronyn Memorial Observatory on campus.

He started working at Western in 2006, and has been the coordinator for the observatory since 2010. Professor Cami gave us a private tour of the observatory which is located next to Alumni Hall.

The observatory holds multiple tools for studying astronomy, including one massive telescope that sits under the dome on top of the building. According to Professor Cami, it’s probably the biggest telescope in the Western hemisphere that’s accessible to the public.
